Sea Meadows is a 21-acre Ocean Front estate on the Queen of the Gulf Islands -- Gabriola Island. Gabriola is just a 20-minute ferry ride from Nanaimo; and once on the island, Sea Meadows is less than one mile from the ferry dock. The estate consists of four homes connected by a paved oval driveway -- in a very private, peaceful, and pretty park-like setting. The main residence is set back 1/3 of a mile from the rental homes to ensure maximum privacy for all. There are three rental homes. The Gate House and The Round House are approximately one city block apart -- and are 150 and 300 feet, respectively, from cozy Descanso Bay. The third house, The Honeymoon Hideaway, is set back further -- and has its own private setting. Only a lightly traveled road separates the estate from the natural cove and beachfront. The beach is a typical British Columbia beach -- both rocky and sandy, yet flat. You can enjoy beach combing, swimming, and even launching and anchoring your boat in the bay.

The Honeymoon Hideaway is a good-size cottage (550 square feet) -- in a very private, park-like setting. Special features include a vaulted ceiling, a four-poster, queen-size bed (over seven feet high) of solid ash, and custom wall covers that create a warm and romantic atmosphere. The living room area has a comfortable couch that opens into a queen-size bed, a 27-inch color TV, and a VCR, for your pleasure. The full-size kitchen has a pub-type eating area and four suede-covered bar stools. The kitchen is complete with a full-size stove, a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. The bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub. Although this cottage is designed for a romantic interlude, it's also perfect for a family with two children.

Island Activities! Discover Gabriola Island! There are many activites available for both children and adults: A golf course and driving range, public tennis courts, two (2) marinas with long or short term charters available for fishing or exploring. There are natural parks that are perfect for hiking, biking and jogging. Some points of interest on Gabriola include, Malaspina Galleries, Sands Provincal Park, Berry Point Lookout, Millstone Quarry, Brickyard Beach, Drumbeg Park, Petroglyphs, Sandwell Park and many other beautiful spots. Gabriola is a completely self contained island. For your convenience there is a full service supermarket, seafood market, liquor store, video rentals, restaurants, beauty parlor, message therapy, apothecary, 1 service station and 2 gas stations. There are also artisan & gift shops, art galleries and a museum to explore.

    Cancellation Policy: Policies Deposits and Cancellation Policy: As we are not equipped as Hotels, & bookings are usually made well in advance, our policy is PAYMENT IN FULL in order to secure or confirm your reservation. The payment is non-refundable. We will try and rent your week for you, if we are able to , you will get a full refund. Checks should be made payable to Softec, Adventures in Software. (Checks must be cleared prior to arrival) In addition, upon arrival, a security deposit of $500.00 is required! Guests are responsible for missing items, including but not limited to towels, linens, etc., and/or any damage done by themselves or their friends. Of course we encourage you to inspect the house completely upon arrival. We have no objections to accommodating pets, however, there is an additional deposit to cover damage and/or clean up, should it become necessary. Pet owners must be in control of their pets and are fully responsible for their pet's clean up and other damage.     Security Deposit: Deposits Payment in full is required with your reservation. There is a $500.00 security deposit required for damaged or missing items.     For the youngsters, we provide a children's playground with a trampoline, basketball hoop, slide, teeter-totter, fort, and swings. The 1/3 mile of paved circular driveway also makes for nice bike riding pleasures. For adults, there is a commercial quality, well equipped gym including a 4 stack Hoist Multi - Gym, tread mill, several types of stationary bikes (including upper body), A heavy bag, a speed bag, dumbbell rack, heavy weights, incline bench, and more. (Approx. 1000 ft gym).

    THERAPEUTIC SPA!

    We have an 8 person therapeutic spa in a beautiful, private gazebo done in an Oriental style.

    WEDDINGS!

    PROPERTY IS ALSO PERFECT FOR A FAMILY REUNION, WEDDING, CORPORATE RETREAT, OR ANY LARGE FUNCTION. The main house (though not available for over night rental) is perfect for that large reception. With a deck area of more than 5000 square feet, as well as the more than 3000 ft of living room, kitchen and dinning areas it has easily handled large functions, and parties for more than 100. Smaller more intimate events are also welcome. In addition there is plenty of parking for a large number of vehicles. The 3 rental houses together have accommodated more than 20 quests comfortably. We have had the occasional RV, & or tents that our clients have brought to accommodate overflow. Children love to pitch tents around the property. We have a barbecue large enough for any occasion. Staff, catering, and entertainment may also be arranged.

    CHARTER BOATS AVAILABLE!

    A 30 ft Sunrunner fully equipped for cruising or fishing. Sleeps 6-8 people, central air & heat, generator, tv , vcr, nintendo, microwave,water purifier, bar, food processor, central vacuum, radar, GPS ,Cannon elec. downriggers, full canvas, even the deck is heated.

    Charter Boats for rent with Captain Price is $400 up to 4 people for fishing & cruising. Extra people $50 each.
