Kitsilano Cottage, the structure, is a heritage designation qualified 1910 Craftsman bungalow, typical of the Kitsilano neighbourhood. It has been meticulously restored and ethically upgraded to provide modern living convenience while maintaining architectural integrity with its origins.

A Suite at Kitsilano Cottage is a single, upscale, self-contained, garden level suite, of approximately 825 sq. ft. There are two bedrooms. One has a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. There is, a double sized sofabed in the living room. The furnishings are a blend of antique and authentic hardwood reproductions in the Craftsman, Arts & Crafts, Mission or, as our guests from the United Kingdom fondly refer to it, Macintosh style.

Rental Rates:
All rates are based on one or two people sharing, (Single or Double Occupancy)
Additional adult charges apply, including for a second adult, using the second bedroom. Charge for additional adults is $50/night/adult, except during February 12th through 28th, when this increases to $100/night/adult.
Children, 12 years old and under are billed at $25/night/child, except during February 12th through 28th, when this increases to $75/night/child.

All rates are stated in Canadian dollars NOT US dollars and are subject to taxes.

  • Policies:
    Check-In: 3 p.m.
    Check-Out: 11 a.m.
    Cancellation Policy: We operate on a 30 day cancellation policy. Reservations not cancelled 30 days prior to the proposed check in date, will be billed the full stay, total amount. If we are able to sell the time, or part of it, to another party, those proceeds can be refunded. The maximum amount is up to the cost of your own reservation, less a minimum, one night's stay equivalent, hold back to recover costs. In 2010, the cancellation policy, for February 12th through 28th, is increased to 60 days, with provisions, as above.
    Security Deposit: We will accept and hold reservations, without deposit, on receipt of a valid, current credit card information by telephone, fax or secure email. We do verify credit cards and need them to have their expiry date after the proposed stay. However, we do not bill cards until our guests' arrival time. In 2010, for bookings between February 12th through 28th, we require a 50% of the total cost of the stay, including taxes, deposit.
    Other Policies: We are a smoke free property. Cigarette smoking outside is allowed. No smoking inside is permitted. We cannot accommodate pets. We would be happy to help any of our guests, who need to bring their treasured animal companions, find a good boarding facility. By accepting a reservation with us, the guests contract to be fully responsible for the cost of remediation of any damages caused to the structure, contents and adjacent areas, to the owner's satisfaction. Further they agree that such costs will be charged to their booking credit card, to the extent of their credit limit on that card. Guests further agree to that costs beyond this credit limit will be paid by alternate payment method, on receipt of the demand for the outstanding balance.

    Kitsilano District - Clearly one of the most desirable urban residential neighbourhoods in the world. It is cosmopolitan and near the warming influence of the waterfront, keeping the weather in a moderate range year around. It is located in the heart of Vancouver and Greater Vancouver, close to downtown and the University of British Columbia. It is typified by its myriad Arts & Crafts design homes on shade tree lined, quiet residential streets, lush gardens, green spaces and its chic business areas. Most of the very finest restaurants and nightlife venues, in all of Greater Vancouver, a city renowned for its great food, are within walking distance. Both wonderful boutique shopping and several beaches, again all within easy, safe walking distance, supplement this.
